Went to the Zoo

Well, now that I have a legit camera I guess that makes me a professional photographer. Here are my wildlife shots from the day at the zoo. Clearly, I should be getting a call from National Geographic any day now… what with these mad wild life photography skills I’ve got.

But seriously though, the wife suggested I bring the camera along. I took a lot of photos. These are merely the ones that I felt were worth sharing. Unlike my previous photos posted on the site, these photos did get a minor edit in photoshop. I didn’t do much. Just tweaked the exposure and things like that. I think they turned out pretty good considering I’m no true photographer.

Reaching milestones at the shop

Well, the store officially reached 1,000 reviews. Pretty awesome stuff if you ask me. The store has come a long way since it first got started.

Aadhaar, the bible, and economics

Last summer I posted about a new economic system over in India, called Aadhaar. The reason why this system caught my attention back then is due to the fact that it pretty much mirrors what the bible describes in the book of Revelation as being the “mark” of the beast. You know… the one that forces the “no one can buy or sell unless they have it” type of stuff.

kk

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. – Revelation 13:16-17

Well, I am posting about it again because something rather exciting happened with it earlier this month.

aadhaar-2-770x433

Outlook India, a news website for that region of the world posted an article about the Aadhaar system that I think was rather titillating, if you ask me. In short, a Christian went to the Supreme Court suggesting that they could not participate in the program because it essentially lines up with how they view what is represented in the last chapter of the bible.

John Abraham (ironic name), the man and his family that were personally affected by this system (thus taking it to the courts), essentially states that his son was unable to attend school because he wasn’t participating in the system. But, don’t take my word for it. Here is a small expert from the article.

The Supreme Court, which is hearing a slew of petitions on the Constitutional validity of Aadhar, was on Tuesday faced with a peculiar petition by a devout Christian’ seeking exemption from submitting biometric data citing “religious belief”.

Petitioner John Abraham, whose son was not allowed to enter school after he denied giving biometric details on the ground that their religion does not permit it, said it has become impossible for a person to go about their everyday lives without having an Aadhaar.”

I don’t know about you, but I find this type of news very exciting. The end of the modern era and the ushering in of the New Jerusalem is right around the corner. And it’s content like this that causes one to top, take in a deep breath, and know that what I am saying is true.

And with this excitement in mind, I can’t help but look at the statistics for how many people are actually participating in this system over in India.

stas

As shown from the 2016-2017 Aadhaar ID insight report (directly from the horse’s mouth), 80% of India has enrolled into this program at more than 1.14 billion people in just two years.

It’s coming, people.

But hey, what do I know… right? I clearly must be ignorant.

Disappointed with the trash on Pureflix

So, I am a hard core conservative Christian despite my early 2000’s post rocker dad look. With that, my household recently put down Netflix and replaced it with Pureflix. And honestly, I have to admit… I am disappointed.

dis

Don’t get me wrong… okay. I understand that this company is getting by simply by stating that they offer “family friendly” as well as “Christian” alternatives to stuff like Netflix and Hulu. I however can’t help but get aggravated as a Christian when I come across some of the stuff that has found its way onto the Pureflix platform.

Just to give a few examples of what I am talking about, it breaks my heart as a Christian to see the following content being promoted on what is supposed to be considered a “Christian alternative”.

te

Tad, the lost explorer – An animated film that promotes Babylonian mysticisms. Not only did this film blatantly offer an alternative way to eternal life, but there were a few minor instances of foul language. There was a lot of sexual tension in this one.

Tappy Toes – Although this is a cute short, the underlying message that is pushed rather hard in the first ten minutes is Darwinian Evolution. Not only that, but this film subtly promotes the raising of children in a same sex parent based household.

Jungle Shuffle – The first ten minutes of this movie has its main characters suggesting that they need to build a statue of a god so that they can worship the statue in order for the forest to be safe. Do I honestly need to say more? The bible clearly has its thoughts on idol worship.

Now, I am not suggesting that there is nothing good on this platform. I just find it rather disappointing that this is even something that needs to be monitored for content. It’s pretty sad if you ask me. With this “need to screen” concept in place, I decided to look into how much Pureflix promotes itself as being “Christian“… seeing as to how a lot of what they promote clearly is nothing of the sort.

With that, I found this article on the Pureflix website pretty hilarious.

In the article they indicate that many of the top celebrities in Hollywood are in fact “Christian”. For example, The Rock. The article says that… (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson enjoyed a career as a pro wrestler that eventually led to his success as an actor. He says he has a special relationship with God that helped him through depression, among other struggles, and that he counts his blessings daily.)

These people can’t be serious!!! Here is a skit that The Rock did just last year about depression, of all things, where he promotes drug use and even says the phrase “Hail Satan”.

Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. – Mathew 7:16-20

Anyway, my rant is over. Needless to say… I am disappointed. It’s probably just me, but it might merely be a sign of the end. Who are we kidding though… I clearly must be ignorant and am just overthinking things.

Tiangong-1 crashes to earth – April Fools

According to the following USA Today article, the Tiangong-1 is set to crash to earth on April Fools. Sounds like pretty exciting stuff, if you ask me.

As a matter of fact… here is some of the sweet, sweet pre-roll video footage provided to us directly from that exact same USA Today article. It’s pretty legit.

With that said, I challenge anyone to show me a real photo of the Tiangong-1 in deep space. All you are going to find is either CGI, cartoons, or miniature models. The thing that I find funniest about it is that none of these illustrations or models seem to show the exact came craft. They are all modified in one way or another.

April Fools… it’s real.

Eyes to the heavens in suspense

A while back on September 23rd of last year some super epic stuff happened in the heavens in relation to Revelation 12. I posted a few blogs leading up to the date as well as afterward. It was a pretty awesome thing to see happen in my lifetime for sure, as a Christian. It was exciting to me, at least.

Anyway, being the kind of person that I am… I occasionally look at my SkyView app on my phone just to see where things are at in the sky. And honestly, I will probably be doing it more often now that I have a new Nikon P900 (plans to try capturing pictures of Jupiter’s moons and Saturn’s rings in the near future).

camera

Having said all of that, I was looking at the SkyView app this week and find it pretty hilarious to find Jupiter where it currently resides. Ironic enough in fact to share it here.

According to Astrogaph, in astrology, Jupiter is the planet of faith,  hope, and morality. I find that rather hilarious, considering the fact that Virgo the virgin gave birth to him last year.

From Latin Iuppiter, which was ultimately derived from the Indo-European *Dyeu-pater, composed of the elements Dyeus and pater “father”. Jupiter was the supreme god in Roman mythology. The Greek Pantheon of Jupiter recognized this celestial body as the king of the heavens (you know, Jesus being born from a virgin or something because he is the king).

Anyway, I think you get the point. So, here is the new thing that I found ironic this week.

unnamed

Of all the places that Jupiter could have gone after being born of a virgin, it found its way toward Libra. Libra is a constellation who’s name is Latin for weighing scales. It is fairly faint, with no first magnitude stars, and lies between Virgo to the west and Scorpius to the east. In the bible scales represent, among other things, judgement.

And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. – Revelation 19:11

Having said all of that… I find it rather hilarious that the bible says that the sun, moon, and stars are for times, seasons, and signs. And here we have the King of faith and hope being born of a virgin… and then moving right into judgement. I could go even further by pointing out the fact that Scorpio is right there… but I will save that for a later post, as this post is already a little lengthy.
