Got a New Pocket Knife in the mail Today

unnamed

For those of you that don’t know me as well, I am a stickler for branding (but in an opposing way). I don’t see myself as a walking billboard here to help companies sell their brand. You aren’t going to find me intentionally waving some billion dollar company logo in the air as some brainwashed unpaid sales associate. Just not something I am interested in doing. Sure, if you look at me you can tell what brand of shoe I am wearing, but it doesn’t have any logos on it. Sure, if you look at my clothing long enough, you might be able to pick out where I got it from, but it doesn’t have any logos on it.

Again, that isn’t something I am interested in.

And with that, when I found this knife maker in Bulgaria I got a little giddy. This old dude makes custom one of a kind folding knives. One, I am already a sucker for wood knives. I just like how they look and how much lighter they are compared to bone knives.

So… when I stumbled across this guy I had to jump on it. Not only are his knives a one of a kind. But the one I got is light weight, wooden, and has no branding what so ever on it. I am really happy with how it turned out.

This dude’s name is Todor. He’s pretty much legit.

Update on recording a NEW EP

unnamed

Well, today was my third recording-writing session for the upcoming hardcore EP that I have been working on with a friend of mine from church. This morning we got together and laid down the drums, bass, and rhythm guitar parts for the third and final song. Now that the bones of this 3 song EP have been laid down, it is time to start cleaning them up by doing a little mixing and mastering work.

After we get that portion completed the plan is to go back in with some vocals and perhaps one last guitar layer (if not that then some synth for added dynamic).

We have no real deadline for the release of this project… as we are mostly just goofing off and having fun with it. With that, as it progresses I will be sure to keep you posted.
